TradeCentric Practice Design System

Client:  None – Solo Project        Role:  Founder

While researching EDI Mapping software for a project, I came across TradeCentric – one of the major players in that industry. As soon as I opened their home page I noticed accessibility issues. Can you find them too? There are five in total.

Noticing these issues led me on a bit of a journey. In the midst of a career break and craving any excuse to keep my skills sharp, I soon found myself combing the entire TradeCentric website cataloguing inconsistencies in their components and brand color palette. Eventually I decided to just do it: redesign their design system myself, for fun.

Well, mostly for fun. I built this design system using the same approach I used on Stormbreaker, a $10M congressionally funded defense project I led design on – work I’m contractually unable to share publicly. This project is my way of showing that process without breaching that confidentiality.
